The Estria Foundation has launched a Kickstarter campaign to support their 6th annual Estria Battle and Art Festival. The program is a series of art events building community, promoting positive messages, and investing in the creative expression of our youth.

This week new rewards of Tshirts and limited edition art prints under $30 have been added to the Estria Battle Kickstarter! This is the first time that the Estria Foundation has provided the availability of artwork by famous street artists and urban artists of Cope2, Indie 184, Defer, Chor Boogie, Apexer, Vyal One, Big Doves, Codak Smith, Ian Kuali‘i and Vogue along with various other spraycan street artists. Donors at the highest levels can even have Estria create a mural for them.

The Kickstarter campaign runs until July 11th and aims to crowd-raise $25,000 to help pay for items like canvases, supplies, food, travel costs, and construction fees. Those who wish to participate or learn more can visit for the Estria Battle and Festival’s Kickstarter page or visit

The Battle and Festival Events
The 6th annual Estria Battle will bring 16 of the top urban aerosol artists from different cities in the USA to Oakland to compete in a live painting event rooted in positive community messages and social justice principles. The Estria Battle will held at the Life is Living Festival in West Oakland on October 12th and will be presented in partnership with Youth Speaks, Inc. The Estria Battle also includes a blackbook battle for teens, a youth group painting competition, a stencil workshop, and a surprise hip-hop celebrity performance. Events prior to the Estria Battle day include an art gallery exhibition, an “Art in Public” slideshow and panel night and several school workshops, where visiting contestants bring classroom instruction to local Oakland schools.

The Estria Battle and Festival is a program of The Estria Foundation. The non-profit’s mission is to create art in public spaces globally. The Estria Foundation collaborates with communities on creative projects that raise awareness and inspire action in the movement to advance culture and to resolve human and environmental issues. They’re also proud to work with artists, activists, community partners, and attendees to make the Estria Battle an unforgettable experience.
